Get Tuned is operated by Carl Hinkle, a sole proprietorship in Connecticut, United States ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Get Tuned iOS application and related product pages on runthroughapp.io.

1. Information we collect

No personally identifiable information is collected by the Get Tuned app. You do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or other contact details inside the app.

Anonymous usage analytics are sent to PostHog: how the app is used, such as screens viewed, settings changed, and buttons tapped. Each event includes technical details such as device model, operating system and app version, language and region, and screen size. Events are grouped by a random identifier created when the app is installed. It is not linked to your name, Apple Account, or advertising identifier, and the app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Crash reports — if the app crashes, it sends a crash report to PostHog the next time it opens: the type of error, where in the app's code it happened, and the same technical details as above. Crash reports contain no audio and nothing you have entered.

IP addresses — our PostHog projects are set to discard IP addresses, so we do not store your IP address or use it to estimate your location.

Microphone / audio processing — Get Tuned needs microphone access to detect pitch while you are tuning. Audio is processed on-device for tuning and is not uploaded to our servers.

Website support form — If you contact us through runthroughapp.io/support, we receive the information you choose to submit (first name, optional email, and your message), along with the selected app, so we can respond. The app's "Send feedback" button opens this form in your browser; the app itself does not send your name, email, or message.

To respond when you contact support through the website

3. Third-party services

Get Tuned uses PostHog (US cloud) for the anonymous usage analytics and crash reports described above. We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive your payment card details.

4. Data retention

Anonymous analytics and crash reports are retained in PostHog according to our PostHog plan's data retention period. Support messages you send through the website are retained as needed to respond to your request and for ordinary business records.

5. Children

Get Tuned is rated 4+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Get Tuned after an update means you accept the revised policy.
